Jura canyoning time slots: how departures are organized through the year
Understand how canyoning slots open in Jura: high season from May to September, peak in July-August, and off-season trips on request.
This page explains why the public calendar mostly shows high-season dates, and how off-season departures work.
High season: May to September
Most canyoning slots are opened from May to September, when conditions and demand are strongest.
July and August are the busiest months because of school holidays.
Off-season: departures on special request
Outside this period, trips are still possible but only on special request.
Off-season departures are confirmed from 6 participants. If 2 people ask for a trip in March and no other group joins, there is no departure.
That is why off-season slots are usually not displayed in the public calendar.
Guaranteed departure for small groups
A private off-season departure can be arranged for a small group.
For 2 participants, the minimum total price is EUR300 for the group.
