## Full content
## Presentation
The Grosdar river is located 5 minutes from Saint-Claude in the Jura. It's the most vertical canyon in the Jura massif in its upper section. For the half-day trip, we do the lower part, which is much less technical but much more playful.

It's a canyon that can be explored in a half-day for beginners or families wanting to discover this activity.

The lower part of the Grosdar canyon is a beautiful walk with your feet in the water, featuring numerous small, sometimes technical jumps as well as natural slides in a lush environment.

## Formula 1

## Half-day schedule
The instructor will explain how to equip yourself with safety gear: neoprene wetsuit, harness, helmet.
Then we will explain the safety instructions related to canyoning to maximize your enjoyment of the descent.

## Level: **Easy**
The half-day Grosdar canyon is an aquatic hike where the most physically demanding part will be the 30-minute approach hike and the 20-minute return hike.

It's a beginner's course that doesn't present any major difficulties. The jumps and natural slides can all be bypassed, as well as the technical jumps.

For children, the minimum age is set at 10 years.

## Formula 2

## Day schedule
For this canyon, we will need to do a car shuttle. We will meet at the upper part of the canyon before putting on our wetsuits, helmets, and harnesses. Then, we will move the instructor's car to the parking area at the lower part of the canyon.

Regarding the meal, you will be asked to bring your own picnic. We will eat between the upper and lower parts of the canyon.
The food will be placed in waterproof containers; however, it can happen that the waterproof container doesn't fully fulfill its role, which is why we advise you to avoid packaging that may not resist water and to favor salad bowls, which are a good solution due to their hard plastic or metal packaging.
Also remember to bring chocolate bars and a small bottle of water (we rarely get thirsty while canyoning).

## Level: **Athletic**
The full-day Grosdar canyon is a long course that can be impressive.
That's why it's considered an athletic course that requires experience in canyoning, mainly in rappelling.

You should count on a total of 5h30.
The approach hike is 1 minute; however, you should count on approximately 40 minutes for the climb back up.

For children, the minimum age is set at 16 years.
